Let them be confounded and ashamed that seek after my soul. Let them be turned back and be confounded that devise against me.


AND it came to pass in Iconium, that they entered together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spoke that a very great multitude both of the Jews and of the Greeks did believe.


8 For, speaking proud words of vanity, they allure by the desires of fleshly riotousness, those who for a little while escape, such as converse in error:


6 At my first answer no man stood with me, but all forsook me: may it not be laid to their charge.


0 And the king rose up, and the governor, and Bernice, and they that sat with them.


5 And Paul said: I am not mad, most excellent Festus, but I speak words of truth and soberness.


8 And he taking him, brought him to the tribune, and said: Paul, the prisoner, desired me to bring this young man unto thee, who hath some thing to say to thee.


7 For I have not spared to declare unto you all the counsel of God.


2 And when he had removed him, he raised them up David to be king: to whom giving testimony, he said: I have found David, the son of Jesse, a man according to my own heart, who shall do all my wills.


4 But their laying in wait was made known to Saul. And they watched the gates also day and night, that they might kill him.


After this I beheld in the vision of the night, and lo, a fourth beast, terrible and wonderful, and exceeding strong, it had great iron teeth, eating and breaking in pieces, and treading down the rest with its feet: and it was unlike to the other beasts which I had seen before it, and had ten horns.


The priests did not say: Where is the Lord? and they that held the law knew me not, and the pastors transgressed against me: and the prophets prophesied in Baal, and followed idols.


0 You are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that you may know, and believe me, and understand that I myself am. Before me there was no God formed, and after me there shall be none.


2 Let them come, and tell us all things that are to come: tell us the former things what they were: and we will set our heart upon them, and shall know the latter end of them, and tell us the things that are to come.


8 I will open rivers in the high bills, and fountains in the midst of the plains: I will turn the desert into pools of waters, and the impassable land into streams of waters.


O Lord, how great are thy works! thy thoughts are exceeding deep.


For my loins are filled with illusions; and there is no health in my flesh.


The God of Israel said to me, the strong one of Israel spoke, the ruler of men, the just ruler in the fear of God.


The cords of hell compassed me: the snares of death prevented me.


7 And Joseph seeing that his father had put his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, was much displeased: and taking his father's hand he tried to lift it from Ephraims head, and to remove it to the head of Manasses.


6 Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.


Salute Andronicus and Junias, my kinsmen and fellow prisoners: who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.


4 As also you have known us in part, that we are your glory, as you also are ours, in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.


6 And to pass by you into Macedonia, and again from Macedonia to come to you, and by you to be brought on my way towards Judea.


9 Of old, think you that we excuse ourselves to you? We speak before God in Christ; but all things, my dearly beloved, for your edification.
