3 Therefore, we also give thanks to God without ceasing: because, that when you had received of us the word of the hearing of God, you received it not as the word of men, but (as it is indeed) the word of God, who worketh in you that have believed.


9 And we have the more firm prophetical word: whereunto you do well to attend, as to a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:


5 Meditate upon these things, be wholly in these things: that thy profiting may be manifest to all.


And, when I was present with you, and wanted, I was chargeable to no man: for that which was wanting to me, the brethren supplied who came from Macedonia; and in all things I have kept myself from being burthensome to you, and so I will keep myself.


8 But all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Christ; and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.


1 For we who live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake; that the life also of Jesus may be made manifest in our mortal flesh.


And this is the declaration which we have heard from him, and declare unto you: That God is light, and in him there is no darkness.


9 But other of the apostles I saw none, saving James the brother of the Lord.


And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you. Whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their perdition slumbereth not.


2 And he hath subjected all things under his feet, and hath made him head over all the church,


3 And may the God of peace himself sanctify you in all things; that your whole spirit, and soul, and body, may be preserved blameless in the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.


5 But even until this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart.


For what things soever were written, were written for our learning: that through patience and the comfort of the scriptures, we might have hope.


Neither doth any man take the honour to himself, but he that is called by God, as Aaron was.


7 Religion clean and undefiled before God and the Father, is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their tribulation: and to keep one's self unspotted from this world.


5 But the spiritual man judgeth all things; and he himself is judged of no man.


0 Whereas therefore he was a prophet, and knew that God hath sworn to him with an oath, that of the fruit of his loins one should sit upon his throne.


5 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring you ought to support the weak, and to remember the word of the Lord Jesus, how he said: It is a more blessed thing to give, rather than to receive.


And he said to his servants: This is John the Baptist: he is risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works shew forth themselves in him.


9 For your obedience is published in every place. I rejoice therefore in you. But I would have you to be wise in good, and simple in evil.


0 And I have a baptism wherewith I am to be baptized: and how am I straitened until it be accomplished?


1 And they feared exceedingly: and they said one to another: Who is this (thinkest thou) that both wind and sea obey him?


1 What fruit therefore had you then in those things, of which you are now ashamed? For the end of them is death.


1 Wherefore casting away all uncleanness, and abundance of naughtiness, with meekness receive the ingrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
