And the spirit of the Lord came upon Saul, when he had heard these words, and his anger was exceedingly kindled.


4 And Samuel said to the people: Come and let us go to Galgal, and let us renew the kingdom there.


5 And the king said to Sadoc: Carry back the ark of God into the city: if I shall find grace in the sight of the Lord, he will bring me again, and he will shew me it, and his tabernacle.


7 And Abisai the son of Sarvia rescued him, and striking the Philistine killed him. Then David's men swore unto him, saying: Thou shalt go no more out with us to battle, lest thou put out the lamp of Israel.
