1 Then Joab arose, and came to Absalom to his house, and said: Why have thy servants set my corn on fire?


4 There are four very little things of the earth, and they are wiser than the wise:

5 Cursed be he that taketh gifts, to slay an innocent person: and all the people shall say: Amen.

A woman shall not be clothed with man's apparel, neither shall a man use woman's apparel : for he that doeth these things is abominable before God.


3 Then Pilate saith to him: Dost not thou hear how great testimonies they allege against thee?


4 But Absalom fled away: and the young man that kept the watch, lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold there came much people by a by-way on the side of the mountain.


3 Yea and if I should have acted boldly against my own life, this could not have been hid from the king, and wouldst thou have stood by me?


5 Ten young men, armourbearers of Joab, ran up, and striking him slew him.
