2 And you also have done worse than your fathers: for behold every one of you walketh after the perverseness of his evil heart, so as not to hearken to me.


7 Let them be ashamed and troubled for ever and ever: and let them be confounded and perish.


8 Take thee again another volume: and write in it all the former words that were in the first volume which Joakim the king of Juda hath burnt.


If so be they will hearken and be converted every one from his evil way; that I may repent me of the evil that I think to do unto them for the wickedness of their doings.


7 And they shall not return into the land, whereunto they lift up their mind to return thither.


He hath decked it with silver and gold: he hath put it together with nails and hammers, that it may not fall asunder.

The wise men are confounded, they are dismayed, and taken: for they have cast away the word of the Lord, and there is no wisdom in them.


8 And let them know that the Lord is thy name: thou alone art the most High over all the earth.
