Wherefore he saith: Ascending on high, he led captivity captive; he gave gifts to men.


9 The strength of the upright is the way of the Lord: and fear to them that work evil.


8 And you shall return, and shall see the difference between the just and the wicked: and between him that serveth God, and him that serveth him not.


6 When you went to a heap of twenty bushels, and they became ten: and you went into the press, to press out fifty vessels, and they became twenty.


A snare shall entangle the wicked man when he sinneth: and the just shall praise and rejoice.


Thou wilt turn, O God, and bring us to life: and thy people shall rejoice in thee.


6 Length of days is in her right hand, and in her left hand riches and glory.


Wherefore though I have much confidence in Christ Jesus, to command thee that which is to the purpose:


6 And thanks be to God, who hath given the same carefulness for you in the heart of Titus.


For a great door and evident is opened unto me: and many adversaries.


And every height that exhalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every understanding unto the obedience of Christ;


1 Now therefore perform ye it also in deed; that as your mind is forward to be willing, so it may be also to perform, out of that which you have.


1 If the just man receive in the earth, how much more the wicked and the sinner.


4 But Amasias after he had slain the Edomites, set up the gods of the children of Seir, which he had brought thence, to be his gods, and adored them, and burnt incense to them.


And to Appia, our dearest sister, and to Archippus, our fellow soldier, and to the church which is in thy house:


9 Now therefore you are no more strangers and foreigners; but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and the domestics of God,


9 Wherefore let them also that suffer according to the will of God, commend their souls in good deeds to the faithful Creator.


It is a faithful saying: and these things I will have thee affirm constantly: that they, who believe in God, may be careful to excel in good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.


Lest, when the Macedonians shall come with me, and find you unprepared, we (not to say ye) should be ashamed in this matter.


9 Because in him, it hath well pleased the Father, that all fullness should dwell;


AND there was a certain man in Caesarea, named Cornelius, a centurion of that which is called the Italian band;


Not as if we had not power: but that we might give ourselves a pattern unto you, to imitate us.


For Demas hath left me, loving this world, and is gone to Thessalonica:


2 Salute one another with a holy kiss.


0 Now to God and our Father be glory world without end. Amen.
