3 Before God: therefore we were comforted. But in our consolation, we did the more abundantly rejoice for the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all.


9 For unto you it is given for Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him.


1 But they threatening, sent them away, not finding how they might punish them, because of the people; for all men glorified what had been done, in that which had come to pass.


I have glorified thee on the earth; I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.


These things proposing to the brethren, thou shalt be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished up in the words of faith, and of the good doctrine which thou hast attained unto.


1 As you know in what manner, entreating and comforting you, (as a father doth his children,)


3 For I bear him testimony that he hath much labour for you, and for them that are at Laodicea, and them at Hierapolis.


0 (For his epistles indeed, say they, are weighty and strong; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible,)


For we also, who are in this tabernacle, do groan, being burthened; because we would not be unclothed, but clothed upon, that that which is mortal may be swallowed up by life.


8 But if there be no interpreter, let him hold his peace in the church, and speak to himself and to God.


1 And when the multitudes had seen what Paul had done, they lifted up their voice in the Lycaonian tongue, saying: The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men;


7 And it came to pass in those days that she was sick, and died. Whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber.


5 And all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron, saw him: who were converted to the Lord.


3 These things I have spoken to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you shall have distress: but have confidence, I have overcome the world.


2 Jesus answered them: Many good works I have shewed you from my Father; for which of these works do you stone me?


But we renounce the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor adulterating the word of God; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience, in the sight of God.


3 But I am straitened between two: having a desire to be dissolved and to be with Christ, a thing by far the better.


7 If therefore thou count me a partner, receive him as myself.
