2 We testified to every one of you, that you would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.

1 For behold this selfsame thing, that you were made sorrowful according to God, how great carefulness it worketh in you; yea defence, yea indignation, yea fear, yea desire, yea zeal, yea revenge: in all things you have shewed yourselves to be undefiled in the matter.

1 Now he that confirmeth us with you in Christ, and that hath anointed us, is God:


2 Having your conversation good among the Gentiles: that whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by the good works, which they shall behold in you, glorify God in the day of visitation.


7 Wherefore, Go out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing:


9 Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is scandalized, and I am not on fire?
