And David saith: Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompense unto them.


2 Not of works, but of him that calleth, it was said to her: The elder shall serve the younger.


1 And whereas I did not see for the brightness of that light, being led by the hand by my companions, I came to Damascus.


2 O our God, wilt thou not then judge them? as for us we have not strength enough, to be able to resist this multitude, which cometh violently upon us. But as we know not what to do, we can only turn our eyes to thee.


And they shall fill thy houses, and the houses of thy servants, and of all the Egyptians: such a number as thy fathers have not seen, nor thy grandfathers, from the time they were first upon the earth, until this present day. And he turned himself away, and went forth from Pharao.


5 For now I will stretch out my hand to strike thee, and thy people with pestilence, and thou shalt perish from the earth.


Behold my hand shall be upon thy fields: and a very grievous murrain upon thy horses, and asses, and camels, and oxen, and sheep.


8 And the fishes that are in the river shall die, and the waters shall be corrupted, and the Egyptians shall be afflicted when they drink the water of the river.


7 And behold a voice from heaven, saying: This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.


And Pharao said: The people of the land is numerous: you see that the multitude is increased: how much more if you give them rest from their works?


0 For I will stretch forth my hand and will strike Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst of them: after these he will let you go.


Now there arose some of that which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and of the Cyrenians, and of the Alexandrians, and of them that were of Cilicia and Asia, disputing with Stephen.
