For thither did the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord: the testimony of Israel, to praise the name of the Lord.


2 The Lord will redeem the souls of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall offend.


8 And the king went away to his house and laid himself down without taking supper, and meat was not set before him, and even sleep departed from him.


8 Let no man seduce you, willing in humility, and religion of angels, walking in the things which he hath not seen, in vain puffed up by the sense of his flesh,


1 I beseech thee, O Lord, let thy ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants who desire to fear thy name: and direct thy servant this day, and give him mercy before this man. For I was the king's cupbearer.


4 And they buried him in his own sepulchre, which he had made for himself in the city of David: and they]aid him on his bed full of spices and odoriferous ointments, which were made by the art of the perfumers, and they burnt them over him with very great pomp.


1 And I have put in it the ark, wherein is the covenant of the Lord, which he made with the children of Israel.


1 This is the word, that the Lord hath spoken of him: The virgin the daughter of Sion hath despised thee, and laughed thee to scorn: the daughter of Jerusalem hath wagged her head behind thy back.


And we cried to the Lord God of our fathers: who heard us, and looked down upon our affliction, and labour, and distress:


6 Only the blood thou shalt not eat, but thou shalt pour it out upon the earth as water.


4 If thy people Israel be overcome by their enemies, (for they will sin against thee,) and being converted shall do penance, and call upon thy name, and pray to thee in this place,


0 I will pluck you up by the root out of my land which I have given you: and this house which I have sanctified to my name, I will cast away from before my face, and will make it a byword, and an example among all nations.


4 And Jahaziel the son of Zacharias, the son of Banaias, the son of Jehiel, the son of Mathanias, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, was there, upon whom the spirit of the Lord came in the midst of the multitude,


O magnify the Lord with me; and let us extol his name together.


0 The Lord therefore hath accomplished his word which he spoke: and I am risen up in the place of David my father, and sit upon the throne of Israel, as the Lord promised : and have built a house to the name of the Lord God of Israel.


Moreover all the children of Israel saw the fire coming down, and the glory of the Lord upon the house: and falling down with their faces to the ground, upon the stone pavement, they adored and praised the Lord: because he is good, because his mercy endureth for ever.
