28 3 And Ezechias slept with his fathers, m and they buried him above the sepulchres of the sons of David: and all Juda, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem celebrated his funeral: and Manasses his son reigned in his stead.

5 And he made in Jerusalem engines of diverse kinds, which he placed in the towers, and in the corners of the walls, to shoot arrows, and great stones: and his name went forth far abroad, for the Lord helped him, and had strengthened him.


1 And he was wiser than all men: wiser than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Dorda the sons of Mahol, and he was renowned in all nations round about.


3 He shall build a house to my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever.


5 He saw rest that it was good: and the land that it was excellent: and he bowed his shoulder to carry, and became a servant under tribute.


2 Now the rest of the acts of Ezechias, and of his mercies are written in the book of the kings of Juda and Israel.


Manasses was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem.
