16 1 And Ozias the king was a leper unto the day of his death, and he dwelt in a house apart being full of the leprosy, for which he had been cast out of the house of the Lord. And Joatham his son governed the king's house, and judged the people of the land.

The altar also was rent, and the ashes were poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given before in the word of the Lord.


0 That the children of Israel might have for the time to come wherewith they should be admonished, that no stranger or any one that is not of seed of Aaron should come near to offer incense to the Lord, lest he should suffer as Core suffered, and all his congregation, according as the Lord spoke to Moses.


3 And the Lord said to Moses:


2 Then Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiron the sons of Eliab. But they answered: We will not come.


Do this therefore: Take every man of you your censers, thou Core, and all thy company.


And the king said to the man of God: Entreat the face of the Lord thy God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored to me. And the man of God besought the face of the Lord, and the king's hand was restored to him, and it became as it was before.


0 And Azarias the high priest, and all the rest of the priests looked upon him, and saw the leprosy in his forehead, and they made haste to thrust him out. Yea himself also being frightened, hasted to go out, because he had quickly felt the stroke of the Lord.


Now the rest of the acts of Joatham, and all his wars, and his works, are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Juda.


6 And I heard the voice of a man between Ulai: and he called, and said: Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.


0 And the Lord said to Moses: Carry back the rod of Aaron into the tabernacle of the testimony, that it may be kept there for a token of the rebellious children of Israel, and that their complaints may cease from me lest they die.


0 And Sellum the son of Jabes conspired against him: and struck him publicly and killed him, and reigned in his place.


And the princes of Israel, and the king, being in a consternation, said: The Lord is just.


0 And there shall stand up in his place, one most vile, and unworthy of kingly honour: and in a few days he shall be destroyed, not in rage nor in battle.
