6 And they gave them lots, and the lot fell upon Matthias, and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.


5 And I am become a reproach to them: they saw me and they shaked their heads,


And the Lord hath not given you al heart to understand, and eyes to see, and ears that may hear, unto this present day.


6 And thy life shall be as it were hanging before thee. Thou shalt fear night and day, neither shalt thou trust thy life.


4 The Lord shall scatter thee among all people, from the farthest parts of the earth to the ends thereof: and there thou shalt serve strange gods, which both thou art ignorant of and thy fathers, wood and stone.


2 The blast shall consume all the trees and the fruits of thy ground.


2 May thy sons and thy daughters be given to another people, thy eyes looking on, and languishing at the sight of them all the day, and may there be no strength in thy hand.


And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:


And when they had gone through the whole island, as far as Paphos, they found a certain man, a magician, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Bar-jesu:


9 And as day came after day, and time rolled on, two whole years passed: then after being wasted with a long consumption, so as to void his very bowels, his disease ended with his life. And he died of a most wretched illness, and the people did not make a funeral for him according to the manner of burning, as they had done for his ancestors.
