4 And they swore to the Lord with a loud voice with joyful shouting, and with sound of trumpet, and sound of comets,


AND at the same time, Herod the king stretched forth his hands, to afflict some of the church.


3 And Aggeus the messenger of the Lord, as one of the messengers of the Lord, spoke, saying to the people: I am with you, saith the Lord.


6 For Israel hath gone astray like a wanton heifer: now will the Lord feed them, as a lamb in a spacious place.


2 My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut up the mouths of the lions, and they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him justice hath been found in me: yea and before thee, O king, I have done no offence.


Galaad is mine, and Manasses is mine and Ephraim the protection of my head. Juda is my king:


Let my soul be filled as with marrow and fatness: and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips.


0 They shall suddenly die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and they shall pass, and take away the violent without hand.


6 And they stood in their order according to the disposition, and law of Moses the man of God: but the priests received the blood which was to be poured out, from the hands of the Levites,

4 Give ye glory to the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.


4 And not rather with this thought and design, that we should say: To morrow your children will say to our children: What have you to do with the Lord the God of Israel?

2 But he put at the head of them Abia the son of Maacha to be the chief ruler over all his brethren: for he meant to make him king,


7 But high places were left in Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days.


And in the six and thirtieth year of his kingdom, Baasa the king of Israel came up against Juda, and built a wall about Rama, that no one might safely go out or come in of the kingdom of Asa.


In Jerusalem also Josaphat appointed Levites, and priests and chiefs of the families of Israel, to judge the judgment and the cause of the Lord for the inhabitants thereof.


And they dwelt in it, and built in it a sanctuary to thy name, saying:


If evils fall upon us, the sword of judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we will stand in thy presence before this house, in which thy name is called upon: and we will cry to thee in our afflictions, and thou wilt hear, and save us.


And the divider shall sit in Azotus, and I will destroy the pride of the Philistines.
