7 But Absalom pressed him, so that he let Amnon and all the king's sons go with him. And Absalom made a feast as it were the feast of a king.


4 And he came to the king, and said to him: Behold thy servant's sheep are shorn. Let the king, I pray, with his servants come to his servant.


6 Moreover out of all the tribes of Israel, whosoever gave their heart to seek the Lord the God of Israel, came into Jerusalem to sacrifice their victims be- fore the Lord the God of their fathers.


8 And Roboam took to wife Mahalath, the daughter of Jerimoth the son of David: and Abihail the daughter of Eliab the son of Isai.


Speak to Roboam the son of Solomon the king of Juda, and to all Israel, in Juda and Benjamin:


Do you therefore take courage, and let not your hands he weakened: for there shall be a reward for your work.


7 After him was Eliada valiant in battle, and with him two hundred thousand armed with bow and shield.


4 And my servant David shall be king over them, and they shall have one shepherd: they shall walk in my judgments, and shall keep my commandments, and shall do them.
