4 For we have not here a lasting city, but we seek one that is to come.


7 Charge the rich of this world not to be highminded, nor to trust in the uncertainty of riches, but in the living God, (who giveth us abundantly all things to enjoy,)


5 In the cheerfulness of the king's countenance is life: and his clemency is like the latter rain.


An ancient man rebuke not, but entreat him as a father: young men, as brethren:


0 Having the same conflict as that which you have seen in me, and now have heard of me.


3 A man rejoiceth in the sentence of his mouth: and a word in due time is best.


3 With the Lord shall the steps of a man be directed, and he shall like well his way.


Thou wilt turn, O God, and bring us to life: and thy people shall rejoice in thee.


6 (As it is written: For thy sake we are put to death all the day long. We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.)


2 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape, as a dove upon him; and a voice came from heaven: Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.


3 Now after a long time the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel groaning, cried out because of the works: and their cry went up unto God from the works.


But we are confident, and have a good will to be absent rather from the body, and to be present with the Lord.


A just king setteth up the land: a covetous man shall destroy it.


7 Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts the God of Israel: Behold I will bring upon Juda, and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them, because I have spoken to them, and they have not heard: I have called to them, and they have not answered me.


3 The life is more than the meat, and the body is more than the raiment.


And he said: Take it up. And he put out his hand and took it.
