4 But continue thou in those things which thou hast learned, and which have been committed to thee: knowing of whom thou hast learned them;


2 But these men, as irrational beasts, naturally tending to the snare and to destruction, blaspheming those things which they know not, shall perish in their corruption,


That they may teach the young women to be wise, to love their husbands, to love their children,


7 That the man of God may be perfect, furnished to every good work.


5 Which in his times he shall shew who is the Blessed and only Mighty, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;


2 Let deacons be the husbands of one wife: who rule well their children, and their own houses.


1 And whosoever shall swear by temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth in it:


1 The men of Ninive shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they did penance at the preaching of Jonas. And behold a greater than Jonas here.

That you may be mindful of those words which I told you before from the holy prophets, and of your apostles, of the precepts of the Lord and Saviour.


Now the Spirit manifestly saith, that in the last times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to spirits of error, and doctrines of devils,


5 Yet do not esteem him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.


1 And Jesus answering, said to them: Amen, I say to you, if you shall have faith, and stagger not, not only this of the fig tree shall you do, but also if you shall say to this mountain, Take up and cast thyself into the sea, it shall be done.


My sheep have wandered in every mountain, and in every high hill: and my flocks mere scattered upon the face of the earth, and there was none that sought them, there was none, I say, that sought them.


8 My sorrow is above sorrow, my heart mourneth within me.


1 Therefore thus saith the Lord: Behold, I will bring destruction upon this people, by which fathers and sons together shall fall, neighbor and kinsman shall perish.


Upon a high and lofty mountain thou hast laid thy bed, and hast gone up thither to offer victims.


2 And the voice of harpers, and of musicians, and of them that play on the pipe, and on the trumpet, shall no more be heard at all in thee; and no craftsman of any art whatsoever shall be found any more at all in thee; and the sound of the mill shall be heard no more at all in thee;


5 In like manner also the chalice, after he had supped, saying: This chalice is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as often as you shall drink, for the commemoration of me.


6 Take heed to thyself and to doctrine: be earnest in them. For in doing this thou shalt both save thyself and them that hear thee.


An ancient man rebuke not, but entreat him as a father: young men, as brethren:
