For which cause I admonish thee, that thou stir up the grace of God which is in thee, by the imposition of my hands.


And to Appia, our dearest sister, and to Archippus, our fellow soldier, and to the church which is in thy house:


AND there was a certain man in Caesarea, named Cornelius, a centurion of that which is called the Italian band;


0 A man that is a heretic, after the first and second admonition, avoid:


Admonish them to be subject to princes and powers, to obey at a word, to be ready to every good work.


For Demas hath left me, loving this world, and is gone to Thessalonica:


LET every soul be subject to higher powers: for there is no power but from God: and those that are, are ordained of God.


And certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities; Mary who is called Magdalen, out of whom seven devils were gone forth,


4 Leave there thy offering before the altar, and go first to be reconciled to thy brother: and then coming thou shalt offer thy gift.


1 For unto this are you called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you an example that you should follow his steps.


But if any of you want wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all men abundantly, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.


1 For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the holies by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.


3 And on the one hand indeed, by reproaches and tribulations, were made a gazingstock; and on the other, became companions of them that were used in such sort.


Wherefore though I have much confidence in Christ Jesus, to command thee that which is to the purpose:


It is a faithful saying: and these things I will have thee affirm constantly: that they, who believe in God, may be careful to excel in good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.


6 My head with oil thou didst not anoint; but she with ointment hath anointed my feet.


But I will fetch a little water, and wash ye your feet, and rest ye under the tree.


As Sodom and Gomorrha, and the neighbouring cities, in like manner, having given themselves to fornication, and going after other flesh, were made an example, suffering the punishment of eternal fire.


8 And if the just man shall scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?


I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.


Traitors, stubborn, puffed up, and lovers of pleasures more than of God:


4 Keep the good thing committed to thy trust by the Holy Ghost, who dwelleth in us.


For they that will become rich, fall into temptation, and into the snare of the devil, and into many unprofitable and hurtful desires, which drown men into destruction and perdition.


One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all chastity.


9 Because in him, it hath well pleased the Father, that all fullness should dwell;


9 Now therefore you are no more strangers and foreigners; but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and the domestics of God,


0 And when the blood of Stephen thy witness was shed, I stood by and consented, and kept the garments of them that killed him.


0 And Cornelius said: Four days ago, unto this hour, I was praying in my house, at the ninth hour, and behold a man stood before me in white apparel, and said:


And he, beholding him, being seized with fear, said: What is it, Lord? And he said to him: Thy prayers and thy alms are ascended for a memorial in the sight of God.


1 Then they suborned men to say, they had heard him speak words of blasphemy against Moses and against God.


5 And I will turn my hand to thee, and I will clean purge away thy dress, and I will take away all thy tin.


1 Thy words have I hidden in my heart, that I may not sin against thee.


0 But he shall be as a hireling, and a sojourner: he shall work with thee until the year of the jubilee,


2 And he brought him in into his lodging: and he unharnessed the camels and gave straw and hay, and water to wash his feet, and the feet of the men that were come with him.


And said: I beseech you, my lords, turn in to the house of your servant, and lodge there: wash your feet, and in the morning you shall go on your way. And they said: No, but we will abide in the street.


5 In like manner also good deeds are manifest: and they that are otherwise, cannot be hid.


6 And evidently great is the mystery of godliness, which was manifested in the flesh, was justified in the spirit, appeared unto angels, hath been preached unto the Gentiles, is believed in the world, is taken up in glory.


5 But they made ready the presents, against Joseph came at noon: for they had heard that they should eat bread there.


1 The women in like manner chaste, not slanderers, but sober, faithful in all things.


5 And being afraid I went and hid thy talent in the earth: behold here thou hast that which is thine.
