2 Instructing us, that, denying ungodliness and worldly desires, we should live soberly, and justly, and godly in this world,


For we brought nothing into this world: and certainly we can carry nothing out.


2 Let deacons be the husbands of one wife: who rule well their children, and their own houses.


4 The breast also that is offered, and the shoulder that is separated, you shall eat in a most clean place, thou and thy sons, and thy daughters with thee. For they are set aside for thee and thy children, of the victims of peace offerings of the children of Israel:


From whence are wars and contentions among you? Are they not hence, from your concupiscences, which war in your members?


6 They profess that they know God: but in their works they deny him; being abominable, and incredulous, and to every good work reprobate.


For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.


9 They shall eat the victim both for sin and for trespass: and every vowed thing in Israel shall be theirs.


I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name, for it is good in the sight of thy saints.


Unto the end, a psalm for David: How long, O Lord, wilt thou forget me unto the end? how long dost thou turn away thy face from me?


Turn to me, O Lord, and deliver my soul: O save me for thy mercy's sake.


1 To him be glory and empire for ever and ever. Amen.


1 But now without the law the justice of God is made manifest, being witnessed by the law and the prophets.


For I know my iniquity, and my sin is always before me.


1 The women in like manner chaste, not slanderers, but sober, faithful in all things.
