Now he that maketh us for this very thing, is God, who hath given us the pledge of the Spirit.


Because now we live, if you stand in the Lord.


For thou hast said: Mercy shall be built up for ever in the heavens: thy truth shall be prepared in them.


But he that shall scandalize one of these little ones that believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone should be hanged about his neck, and that he should be drowned in the depth of the sea.


0 And whilst I in a hurry turned this way and that, on a sudden he was not to be seen. And the king of Israel said to him: This is thy judgment, which thyself hast decreed.


And the king said to the man of God: Entreat the face of the Lord thy God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored to me. And the man of God besought the face of the Lord, and the king's hand was restored to him, and it became as it was before.


8 His sneezing is like the shining of fire, and his eyes like the eyelids of the morning.


9 And he added and said: Hear thou therefore the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on his throne, and all the army of heaven standing by him on the right hand and on the left:


7 And he said to his sons: Saddle me an ass. And when they had saddled it,


4 And went after the man of God, and found him sitting under a turpentine tree: and he said to him: Art thou the man of God that camest from Juda? He answered: I am.


7 All things are put under him; undoubtedly, he is excepted, who put all things under him.


0 For which cause I please myself in my infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ. For when I am weak, then am I powerful.


1 Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia.


But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.


0 And in all seduction of iniquity to them that perish; because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
