Give not that which is holy to dogs; neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turning upon you, they tear you.


Neither did we eat any man's bread for nothing, but in labour and in toil we worked night and day, lest we should be chargeable to any of you.


But as touching the charity of brotherhood, we have no need to write to you: for yourselves have learned of God to love one another.


0 Be you then also ready: for at what hour you think not, the Son of man will come.


4 Be not therefore solicitous for to morrow; for the morrow will be solicitous for itself. Sufficient for the day is the evil thereof.


0 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil. Whosoever is not just, is not of God, nor he that loveth not his brother.


4 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed:


8 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.


1 And there came a voice from heaven: Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.


4 Cursed is the deceitful man that hath in his flock a male, and making a vow offereth in sacrifice that which is feeble to the Lord: for I am a great King, saith the Lord of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the Gentiles.


3 For you have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion: how that, beyond measure, I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it.


1 For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual grace, to strengthen you:


6 Behold the birds of the air, for they neither sow, nor do they reap, nor gather into barns: and your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are not you of much more value than they?


2 The light of thy body is thy eye. If thy eye be single, thy whole body shall be lightsome.


4 For if you will forgive men their offences, your heavenly Father will forgive you also your offences.


Thou hast met him that rejoiceth, and doth justice: in thy ways they shall remember thee: behold thou art angry, and we have sinned: in them we have been always, and we shall be saved.


1 Strengthened with all might, according to the power of his glory, in all patience and longsuffering with joy,


Now I am glad: not because you were made sorrowful; but because you were made sorrowful unto penance. For you were made sorrowful according to God, that you might suffer damage by us in nothing.


2 And forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.


7 And here is hope for thy last end, saith the Lord: and the children shall return to their own borders.


5 The other disciples therefore said to him: We have seen the Lord. But he said to them: Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the place of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.


For they that sleep, sleep in the night; and they that are drunk, are drunk in the night.


So that we ourselves also glory in you in the churches of God, for your patience and faith, and in all your persecutions and tribulations, which you endure,


Desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither the things they say, nor whereof they affirm.


2 And it had a wall great and high, having twelve gates, and in the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel.
