1 To him be glory and empire for ever and ever. Amen.


1 Moreover see and know, O my father, the hem of thy robe in my hand, that when I cut, off the hem of thy robe, I would not put out my hand against thee. Reflect, and see, that there is no evil in my hand, nor iniquity, neither have I sinned against thee: but thou liest in wait for my life, to take it away.


When there shall be found among you within any of thy gates, which the Lord thy God shall give thee, man or woman that do evil in the sight of the Lord thy God, and transgress his covenant,


9 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of glory? Are not you, in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?


0 But afterwards they cried to the Lord, and said: We have sinned, because we have forsaken the Lord, and have served Baalim and Astaroth: but now deliver us from the hand of our enemies, and we will serve thee.


And the spirit of the Lord shall come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be changed into another man.


1 But the seventh year thou shalt let it alone, and suffer it to rest, that the poor of thy people may eat, and whatsoever shall be left, let the beasts of the field eat it: so shalt thou do with thy vineyard and thy oliveyard.


4 For you, brethren, are become followers of the churches of God which are in Judea, in Christ Jesus: for you also have suffered the same things from your own coutrymen, even as they have from the Jews,


0 And Moses said to the people: Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that the dread of him might be in you, and you should not sin.


6 And the first came, saying: Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.


9 And Jesus answering, said to them: You err, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.


Command Aaron and his sons: This is the law of a holocaust: It shall be burnt upon the altar, all night until morning: the fire shall be of the same altar.


If a man deliver money, or any vessel unto his friend to keep, and they be stolen away from him that received them: if the thief be found he shall restore double:


I have told before, and foretell, as present, and now absent, to them that sinned before, and to all the rest, that if I come again, I will not spare.


And the Lord called Samuel. And he answered: Here am I.


And they forgot the Lord their God, and he delivered them into the hands of Sisara, captain of the army of Hasor, and into the hands of the Philistines, and into the hand of the king of Moab, and they fought against them.


It is the part of man to prepare the soul: and of the Lord to govern the tongue.


0 The priest shall be vested with the tunick and the linen breeches, and he shall take up the ashes of that which the devouring fire hath burnt, and putting them beside the altar,


2 The Lord judge between me and thee, and the Lord revenge me of thee: but my hand shall not be upon thee.

4 David cried to the people, and to Abner the son of Ner, saying: Wilt thou not answer, Abner? And Abner answering, said: Who art thou, that criest, and disturbest the king?


6 This thing is not good, that thou hast done: as the Lord liveth, you are the sons of death, who have not kept your master, the Lord's anointed. And now where is the king's spear, and the cup of water, which was at his head?


7 With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.


6 Moreover I built in the work of the wall, and I bought no land, and all my servants were gathered together to the work.


I will bless the Lord, who hath given me understanding: moreover my reins also have corrected me even till night.
