To Timothy, his beloved son in faith. Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father, and from Christ Jesus our Lord.


For yourselves know perfectly, that the day of the Lord shall so come, as a thief in the night.


2 Impose not hands lightly upon any man, neither be partaker of other men's sins. Keep thyself chaste.


Wherein they think it strange, that you run not with them into the same confusion of riotousness, speaking evil of you.


8 Who have erred from the truth, saying, that the resurrection is past already, and have subverted the faith of some.


9 He therefore that shall break one of these least commandments, and shall so teach men, shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven. But he that shall do and teach, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.


If any man hurt a field or a vineyard, and put in his beast to feed upon that which is other men's: he shall restore the best of whatsoever he hath in his own field, or in his vineyard, according to the estimation of the damage.


Christ therefore having suffered in the flesh, be you also armed with the same thought: for he that hath suffered in the flesh, hath ceased from sins:
