9 But hear my words and counsels, and God shall be with thee. Be thou to the people in those things that pertain to God, to bring their words to him:


And they said to him: Come thou and be our prince, and fight against the children of Ammon.


But she made the men go up to the top of her house, and covered them with the stalks of flax, which was there.


2 If thou wilt not promise, thou shalt be without sin.


And to the children of Israel thou shalt speak these things:


4 But let him be among you as one of the same country: and you shall love him as yourselves: for you were strangers in the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.


6 And when any controversy falleth out among them, they come to me to judge between them, and to shew the precepts of God, and his laws.


0 And rising in the dead time of the night, she took my child from my side, while I thy handmaid was asleep, and laid it in her bosom: and laid her dead child in my bosom.


2 And the other woman answered: It is not so as thou sayest, but thy child is dead, and mine is alive. On the contrary she said: Thou liest: for my child liveth, and thy child is dead. And in this manner they strove before the king.


Treat thy cause with thy friend, and discover not the secret to a stranger:
