Wherein you shall greatly rejoice, if now you must be for a little time made sorrowful in divers temptations:


5 Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he hath had regard to take away my reproach among men.


9 And he added and said: Hear thou therefore the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on his throne, and all the army of heaven standing by him on the right hand and on the left:


9 And you shall destroy every fenced city, and every choice city, and shall cut down every fruitful tree, and shall stop up all the springs of waters, and every goodly field you shall cover with stones.


5 And the seventh angel sounded the trumpet: and there were great voices in heaven, saying: The kingdom of this world is become our Lord's and his Christ's, and he shall reign for ever and ever. Amen.


0 Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see: and bow down their back always.


And he promised. And he sought opportunity to betray him in the absence of the multitude.


8 And behold a man among the crowd cried out, saying: Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son, because he is my only one.


And the centurion making answer, said: Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldst enter under my roof: but only say the word, and my servant shall be healed.


And they divided the countries between them, that they might go round about them: Achab went one way, and Abdias another way by himself.


3 And keep the commandments of the Lord, and his ceremonies, which I command thee this day, that it may be well with thee?

5 And Elias said: As the Lord of hosts liveth, before whose face I stand, this day I will shew myself unto him.


He had thirty sons, and as many daughters, whom he sent abroad, and gave to husbands, and took wives for his sons of the same number, bringing them into his house. And he judged Israel seven years:

1 And Jesus answering, said: O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring hither thy son.


7 And when it was evening, there came a certain rich man of Arimathea, named Joseph, who also himself was a disciple of Jesus.


5 And there were there many women afar off, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:


2 And Peter taking him, began to rebuke him, saying: Lord, be it far from thee, this shall not be unto thee.


2 But I say unto you, it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment, than for you.


Both the great and the little shall die in the land: they shall not be buried nor lamented, and men shall not cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them.


6 And I will feed thy enemies with their own flesh: and they shall be made drunk with their own blood, as with new wine: and all flesh shall know, that I am the Lord that save thee, and thy Redeemer the Mighty One of Jacob.


1 nd Giezi followed after Naaman: and when he saw him running after him, he leapt down from his chariot to meet him, and said: Is all well?


But after some time the torrent was dried up, for it had not rained upon the earth.


7 And it came to pass after this that the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, fell sick, and the sickness was very grievous, so that there was no breath left in him.


But they said: A hairy man with a girdle of leather about his loins. And he said: It is Elias the Thesbite.


5 But he went in, and stood before his master. And Eliseus said: Whence comest thou, Giezi? He answered: Thy servant went no whither.


1 That they may fear thee, and walk in thy ways all the days that they live upon the face of the land, which thou hast given to our fathers.


0 He changeth the speech of the true speakers, and taketh away the doctrine of the aged.


4 Therefore hath hell enlarged her soul, and opened her mouth without any bounds, and their strong ones, and their people, and their high and glorious ones shall go down into it.


Their widows are multiplied unto me above the sand of the sea: I have brought upon them against the mother of the young man a spoiler at noonday: I have cast a terror on a sudden upon the cities.


6 Therefore thus saith the Lord: Behold I will send thee away from off the face of the earth: this year shalt thou die: for thou hast spoken against the Lord.


Who is left among you, that saw this house in its first glory? and how do you see it now? is it not in comparison to that as nothing in your eyes?


0 That they may fear thee all the days that they live upon the face of the land, which thou hast given to our fathers.


3 And his servant answered him: How much is this, that I should set it before a hundred men? He said again: Give to the people, that they may eat: for thus saith the Lord: They shall eat, and there shall be left.


7 And they came up into the land of Juda, and wasted it, and they carried away all the substance that was found in the king's house, his sons also, and his wives: so that there was no son left him but Joachaz, who was the youngest.
