7 And Samuel turned about to go away: but he laid hold upon the skirt of his mantle, and it rent.


1 And immediately as he had made an end of speaking, the earth broke asunder under their feet:


3 And cinnamon, and odours, and ointment, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.

Already indeed there is plainly a fault among you, that you have lawsuits one with another. Why do you not rather take wrong? Why do you not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?


3 And he said to his sons: Saddle me the ass. And when they had saddled him, he got up,


5 And he said to him: Come home with me, to eat bread.


1 And he cried out to the man of God who came out of Juda, saying : Thus saith the Lord: Because thou hast not been obedient to the Lord, and hast not kept the commandment which the Lord thy God commanded thee,


4 And when he was gone, a lion found him in the way, and killed him, and his body was cast in the way: and the ass stood by him, and the lion stood by the dead body.
