27 2 And he appointed a feast in the eighth month, on the fifteenth day of the month, after the manner of the feast that was celebrated in Juda. And going up to the altar, he did in like manner in Bethel, to sacrifice to the calves, which he had made : and he placed in Bethel priests of the high places, which he had made.

1 And thou shalt feast before the Lord thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger and the fatherless, and the widow, who abide with you: in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose, that his name may dwell there:


9 Take heed thou forsake not the Levite all the time that thou livest in the land.


7 And I will take thee, and thou shalt reign over all that thy soul desireth, and thou shalt be king over Israel.


9 Then hear thou in heaven, in the firmament of thy throne, their prayers, and their supplications, and do judgment for them:


And thou shalt dress, and eat it in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose, and in the morning rising up thou shalt go into thy dwellings.


And when he was asked by the men of that place, concerning his wife, he answered: She is my sister; for he was afraid to confess that she was his wife, thinking lest perhaps they would like him because of her beauty.


1 And he made temples in the high places, and priests of the lowest of the people, who were not of the sons of Levi.


I have lifted up my eyes to the mountains, from whence help shall come to me.


6 Only the blood thou shalt not eat, but thou shalt pour it out upon the earth as water.
