33 8 If then thou wilt hearken to all that I shall command thee, and wilt walk in my ways, and do what is right before me, keeping my commandments and my precepts, as David my servant did: I will be with thee, and will build thee up a faithful house, as I built a house for David, and I will deliver Israel to thee:

4 And the Lord raised up an adversary to Solomon, Adad the Edomite of the king's seed, in Edom.


With their flocks, and with their herds, they shall go to seek the Lord, and shall not find him: he is withdrawn from them.


1 Yet I planted thee a chosen vineyard, all true seed: how then art thou turned unto me into that which is good for nothing, O strange vineyard?


Do you therefore take courage, and let not your hands he weakened: for there shall be a reward for your work.


4 Gold by weight for every vessel for the ministry. And silver by weight ac- cording to the diversity of the vessels and uses.


9 And this woman's child died in the night: for in her sleep she overlaid him.


4 And the Lord said to Moses: Fear him not, for I have delivered him and all his people, and his country into thy hand: and thou shalt do to him as thou didst to Sehon the king of the Amorrhites, the inhabitant of Hesebon.


And they said to Samuel: Cease not to cry to the Lord our God for us, that he may save us out of the hand of the Philistines.


9 And I will for this afflict the seed of David, but yet not for ever.


3 And all Israel shall mourn for him, and shall bury him: for he only of Jeroboam shall be laid in a sepulchre, be- cause in his regard there is found a good word from the Lord the God of Israel, in the house of Jeroboam.


5 Moab is laid waste, and they have cast down her cities: and her choice young men are gone down to the slaughter: saith the king, whose name is the Lord of hosts.


1 And judgment is come upon the plain country: upon Helon, and upon Jasa, and upon Mephaath.


3 And their strength shall become a booty, and their houses as a desert: and they shall build houses, and shall not dwell in them: and they shall plant vineyards, and shall not drink the wine of them.


And the Lord was angry with Solomon, because his mind was turned away from the Lord the God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice,


But they said: A hairy man with a girdle of leather about his loins. And he said: It is Elias the Thesbite.


Josias was eight years old when he began to reign: he reigned one and thirty years in Jerusalem: the name of his mother was Idida, the daughter of Hadaia, of Besecath.


9 Thy own wickedness shall reprove thee, and thy apostasy shall rebuke thee. Know thou, and see that it is an evil and a bitter thing for thee, to have left the Lord thy God, and that my fear is not with thee, saith the Lord the God of hosts.
