3 All these died according to faith, not having received the promises, but beholding them afar off, and saluting them, and confessing that they are pilgrims and strangers on the earth.


Two things I have asked of thee, deny them not to me before I die.


5 Adam also knew his wife again: and she brought forth a son, and called his name Seth, saying: God hath given me another seed, for Abel whom Cain slew.


0 But you, my beloved, building yourselves upon you most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,


But I will shew you whom you shall fear: fear ye him, who after he hath killed, hath power to cast into hell. Yea, I say to you, fear him.


And Jesus answering, said to them: Take heed that no man seduce you:


7 Instruct thy son, and he shall refresh thee, and shall give delight to thy soul.


3 But if you partake of the sufferings of Christ, rejoice that when his glory shall be revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.


Marriage honourable in all, and the bed undefiled. For fornicators and adulterers God will judge.


Behold thou hast made my days measurable : and my substance is as nothing before thee. And indeed all things are vanity : every man living.


9 They shall not be confounded in the evil time; and in the days of famine they shall be filled :


7 He that hath the substance of this world, and shall see his brother in need, and shall shut up his bowels from him: how doth the charity of God abide in him?


0 And falling on his knees, he cried with a loud voice, saying: Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep in the Lord. And Saul was consenting to his death.


0 And he went again beyond the Jordan, into that place where John was baptizing first; and there he abode.


1 And after they had mocked him, they took off the cloak from him, and put on him his own garments, and led him away to crucify him.


6 Who when he had found one pearl of great price, went his way, and sold all that he had, and bought it.


7 And the servants of the goodman of the house coming said to him: Sir, didst thou not sow good seed in thy field? whence then hath it cockle?


5 And he said to me: The waters which thou sawest, where the harlot sitteth, are peoples, and nations, and tongues.


That no man should be moved in these tribulations: for yourselves know, that we are appointed thereunto.


7 But Absalom pressed him, so that he let Amnon and all the king's sons go with him. And Absalom made a feast as it were the feast of a king.


1 Study wisdom, my son, and make my heart joyful, that thou mayst give an answer to him that reproacheth.


5 That you may be the children of your Father who is in heaven, who maketh his sun to rise upon the good, and bad, and raineth upon the just and the unjust.


8 The Jews therefore answered, and said to him: Do not we say well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?


9 Jesus answered: I have not a devil: but I honour my Father, and you have dishonoured me.
