And you, fathers, provoke not your children to anger; but bring them up in the discipline and correction of the Lord.


And you, masters, do the same things to them, forbearing threatenings, knowing that the Lord both of them and you is in heaven; and there is no respect of persons with him.


8 Is any man called, being circumcised ? let him not procure uncircumcision. Is any man called in uncircumcision ? let him not be circumcised.


A false witness shall not be unpunished: and he that speaketh lies shall not escape.


For I would that all men were even as myself: but every one hath his proper gift from God; one after this manner, and another after that.


2 Let no man despise thy youth: but be thou an example of the faithful in word, in conversation, in charity, in faith, in chastity.


And I will come to you in judgment, and will be a speedy witness against sorcerers, and adulterers, and false swearers, and them that oppress the hireling in his wages; the widows, and the fatherless: and oppress the stranger, and have not feared me, saith the Lord of hosts.


1 There are many thoughts in the heart of a man: but the will of the Lord shall stand firm.


0 And if a man will contend with thee in judgment, and take away thy coat, let go thy cloak also unto him.


0 But to them that are married, not I but the Lord commandeth, that the wife depart not from her husband.


2 For to the rest I speak, not the Lord. If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she consent to dwell with him, let him not put her away.


3 And we will not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning them that are asleep, that you be not sorrowful, even as others who have no hope.


He was named Elimelech, and his wife, Noemi: and his two sons, the one Mahalon, and the other Chelion, Ephrathites of Bethlehem Juda. And entering into the country of Moab, they abode there.
