James the servant of God, and of our Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.


1 But prove all things; hold fast that which is good.


Dearly beloved, taking all care to write unto you concerning your common salvation, I was under a necessity to write unto you: to beseech you to contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints.


2 And to the angel of the church of Pergamus write: These things, saith he, that hath the sharp two edged sword:


4 Salute one another with a holy kiss. Grace be to all you, who are in Christ Jesus. Amen.


9 Which we have as an anchor of the soul, sure and firm, and which entereth in even within the veil;


Whosoever are servants under the yoke, let them count their masters worthy of all honour; lest the name of the Lord and his doctrine be blasphemed.


8 For we would have come unto you, I Paul indeed, once and again: but Satan hath hindered us.


But having suffered many things before, and been shamefully treated (as you know) at Philippi, we had confidence in our God, to speak unto you the gospel of God in much carefulness.


2 I know both how to be brought low, and I know how to abound: (everywhere, and in all things I am instructed) both to be full, and to be hungry; both to abound, and to suffer need.


0 Because we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.


Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth with the truth;


8 Let no man deceive himself: if any man among you seem to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.


1 Timothy, my fellow labourer, saluteth you, and Lucius, and Jason, and Sosipater, my kinsmen.


8 For they that are such, serve not Christ our Lord, but their own belly; and by pleasing speeches and good words, seduce the hearts of the innocent.


5 Salute Philologus and Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympias; and all the saints that are with them.


2 Salute Tryphaena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord. Salute Persis, the dearly beloved, who hath much laboured in the Lord.


3 And this is the number of the chiefs of the army who came to David, when he was in Hebron, to transfer to him the kingdom of Saul, according to the word of the Lord.


0 Nothing under the sun is new, neither is any man able to say: Behold this is new: for it hath already gone before in the ages that were before us.


A double minded man is inconstant in all his ways.
