1 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, to refrain yourselves from carnal desires which war against the soul,


PAUL, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Sosthenes a brother,


Even things without life that give sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction of sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped ?


1 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.


5 But the spiritual man judgeth all things; and he himself is judged of no man.


If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all iniquity.


8 But what then? So that by all means, whether by occasion, or by truth, Christ be preached: in this also I rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.


3 And Jesus looking round about, saith to his disciples: How hardly shall they that have riches, enter into the kingdom of God!


And I entreat thee also, my sincere companion, help those women who have laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement and the rest of my fellow labourers, whose names are in the book of life.


But he said to them: Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, and they that were with him:


1 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand the second time to possess the remnant of his people, which shall be left from the Assyrians, and from Egypt, and from Phetros, and from Ethiopia, and from Elam, and from Sennaar, and from Emath, and from the islands of the sea.


06 I have sworn and am determined to keep the judgments of thy justice.


2 For there are eunuchs, who were born so from their mother's womb: and there are eunuchs, who were made so by men: and there are eunuchs, who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven. He that can take, let him take it.


0 But when thou art spoiled what wilt thou do? though thou deckest thee with ornaments of gold, and paintest thy eyes with stibic stone, thou shalt dress thyself out in vain: thy lovers have despised thee, they will seek thy life.


2 And when the young man had heard this word, he went away sad: for he had great possessions.


5 For it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.


1 Because that, when they knew God, they have not glorified him as God, or given thanks; but became vain in their thoughts, and their foolish heart was darkened.


8 But if there be no interpreter, let him hold his peace in the church, and speak to himself and to God.


2 To put off, according to former conversation, the old man, who is corrupted according to the desire of error.


8 For every one of the builders was girded with a sword about his reins. And they built, and sounded with a trumpet by me.
