3 Who, when he was reviled, did not revile: when he suffered, he threatened not: but delivered himself to him that judged him unjustly.


4 For you both had compassion on them that were in bands, and took with joy the being stripped of your own goods, knowing that you have a better and a lasting substance.

2 The prudent man seeing evil hideth himself: little ones passing on have suffered losses.


2 The night is passed, and the day is at hand. Let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and put on the armour of light.
