2 Now we charge them that are such, and beseech them by the Lord Jesus Christ, that, working with silence, they would eat their own bread.


2 But call to mind the former days, wherein, being illuminated, you endured a great fight of afflictions.


4 Blessed shalt thou be among all people. No one shall be barren among you of either sex, neither of men nor cattle.


And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.


2 Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy ? Are we stronger than he? All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient.


5 Can a woman forget her infant, so as not to have pity on the son of her womb? and if she should forget, yet will not I forget thee.


6 (As it is written: For thy sake we are put to death all the day long. We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.)


But the Lord's portion is his people: Jacob the lot of his inheritance.


0 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet, who wrought signs before him, wherewith he seduced them who received the character of the beast, and who adored his image. These two were cast alive into the pool of fire, burning with brimstone.


He that saith he abideth in him, ought himself also to walk, even as he walked.


He that worketh pride shall not dwell in the midst of my house: he that speaketh unjust things did not prosper before my eyes.


4 Behold the people shall rise up as a lioness, and shall lift itself up as a lion: it shall not lie down till it devour the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.


And I wrote this same to you; that I may not, when I come, have sorrow upon sorrow, from them of whom I ought to rejoice: having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.


And you, employing all care, minister in your faith, virtue; and in virtue, knowledge;


Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ, is born of God. And every one that loveth him who begot, loveth him also who is born of him.


0 By faith also of things to come, Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau.


2 Why so? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were of works. For they stumbled at the stumblingstone.


8 For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor might,


And they shall say in that day: Lo, this is our God, we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord, we have patiently waited for him, we shall rejoice and be joyful in his salvation.


And the scripture, foreseeing, that God justifieth the Gentiles by faith, told unto Abraham before: In thee shall all nations be blessed.


For in a certain place he spoke of the seventh day thus: And God rested the seventh day from all his works.


And we charge you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother walking disorderly, and not according to the tradition which they have received of us.


Judas therefore having received a band of soldiers and servants from the chief priests and the Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons.


3 And the envy of Ephraim shall be taken away, and the enemies of Juda shall perish: Ephraim shall not envy Juda, and Juda shall not fight against Ephraim.


1 Who must be reproved, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.


5 Of whom all paternity in heaven and earth is named,


And without all contradiction, that which is less, is blessed by the better.


0 Forty years: for which cause I was offended with this generation, and I said: They always err in heart. And they have not known my ways,


Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation; in the day of temptation in the desert,


8 The Lord grant unto him to find mercy of the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou very well knowest.


3 But know this ye, that if the goodman of the house knew at what hour the thief would come, he would certainly watch, and would not suffer his house to be broken open.


4 And they glorified God in me.


5 Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, eat; asking no question for conscience' sake.


Which none of the princes of this world knew; for if they had known it, they would never have crucified the Lord of glory.


5 For I would not have you ignorant, brethren, of this mystery, (lest you should be wise in your own conceits), that blindness in part has happened in Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles should come in.


For which cause, forbearing no longer, we thought it good to remain at Athens alone:


Now this I say, that no man may deceive you by loftiness of words.


2 But flee thou youthful desires, and pursue justice, faith, charity, and peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
