4 That henceforth we be no more children tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine by the wickedness of men, by cunning craftiness, by which they lie in wait to deceive


3 For such false apostles are deceitful workmen, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.


6 And continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they took their meat with gladness and simplicity of heart;


1 Now all these things happened to them in figure: and they are written for our correction, upon whom the ends of the world are come.


3 Now some also of the Jewish exorcists who went about, attempted to invoke over them that had evil spirits, the name of the Lord Jesus, saying: I conjure you by Jesus, whom Paul preacheth.


And I said: Not so, Lord; for nothing common or unclean hath ever entered into my mouth.


6 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles, immediately I condescended not to flesh and blood.


And he preached, saying: There cometh after me one mightier than I, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and loose.


It is a faithful saying: and these things I will have thee affirm constantly: that they, who believe in God, may be careful to excel in good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.


4 But unto them that are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.


8 For he that in this serveth Christ, pleaseth God, and is approved of men.


4 Then Simon answering, said: Pray you for me to the Lord, that none of these things which you have spoken may come upon me.


4 But John stayed him, saying: I ought to be baptized by thee, and comest thou to me?
