12 7 I know my God that thou provest hearts, and lovest simplicity, wherefore I also in the simplicity of my heart, have joyfully offered all these things: and I have seen with great joy thy people, which are here present, offer thee their offerings.

One body and one Spirit; as you are called in one hope of your calling.


Thou shalt know therefore this day that the Lord thy God himself will pass over before thee, a devouring and consuming fire, to destroy and extirpate and bring them to nothing before thy face quickly, as he hath spoken to thee.


2 The brethren who are with me, salute you. All the saints salute you; especially they that are of Caesar's household.


After this I beheld, and lo, another like a leopard, and it had upon it four wings as of a fowl, and the beast had four heads, and power was given to it.


1 Do the contrary, and endeavour to cast us out of the possession which thou hast delivered to us.


0 And through him to reconcile all things unto himself, making peace through the blood of his cross, both as to the things that are on earth, and the things that are in heaven.


Wherefore he saith: Ascending on high, he led captivity captive; he gave gifts to men.


Every one shall help his neighbour, and shall say to his brother: Be of good courage.


7 A chariot of four horses for six hundred pieces of silver, and a horse for a hundred and fifty: in like manner market was made in all the kingdoms of the Hethites, and of the kings of Syria.


And there was a great battle in heaven, Michael and his angels fought with the dragon, and the dragon fought and his angels:


1 This people have I formed for my- self, they shall shew forth my praise.


Although he lived two thousand years, and hath not enjoyed good things: do not all make haste to one place?


9 The strength of the upright is the way of the Lord: and fear to them that work evil.


4 The earth is given into the hand of the wicked, he covereth the face of the judges thereof: and if it be not he, who is it then?


And John was clothed with camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and he ate locusts and wild honey.


Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called the lady of kingdoms.


They bear him on their shoulders and carry him, and set him in his piece, and he shall stand, and shall not stir out of his place. Yea, when they shall cry also unto him, he shall not hear: he shall not save them from tribulation.


5 The mountains with their huge bulk had not as yet been established: before the hills I was brought forth:


9 And Pilate wrote a title also, and he put it upon the cross. And the writing was: JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.


If I have remembered thee upon my bed, I will meditate on thee in the morning:


O Lord, in thy favour, thou gavest strength to my beauty. Thou turnedst away thy face from me, and I became troubled.


The voice of the Lord shaketh the desert: and the Lord shall shake the desert of Cades.


And shall reduce them to pieces, as a calf of Libanus, and as the beloved son of unicorns.


7 And he died an old man, and full of days.


4 And they buried him in his own sepulchre, which he had made for himself in the city of David: and they]aid him on his bed full of spices and odoriferous ointments, which were made by the art of the perfumers, and they burnt them over him with very great pomp.


Now these were all circumcised. But the people that were born in the desert,


8 O Lord God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Israel our fathers, keep for ever this will of their heart, and let this mind remain always for the worship of thee.


Manasses was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem.


8 But there is a God in heaven that revealeth mysteries, who hath shewn to thee, O king Nabuchodonosor, what is to come to pass in the latter times. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these:


because thou hast been my helper. And I will rejoice under the covert of thy wings:


Who makest thy angels spirits: and thy ministers a burning fire.
