0 And Ezechias and the princes commanded the Levites to praise the Lord with the words of David, and Asaph the seer: and they praised him with great joy, and bowing the knee adored.


1 Joah his son, Addo his son, Zara his son, Jethrai his son.


5 And the singers the sons of Asaph stood in their order, according to the commandment of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Idithun the prophets of the king: and the porters kept guard at every gate, so as not to depart one moment from their service: and therefore their brethren the Levites prepared meats for them.


In the third month they began to lay the foundations of the heaps, and in the seventh month, they finished them.


And to Semei his son were born sons, herds of their families: for they were men of great valour.


And Semeias the son of Nathanael the scribe a Levite, wrote them down before the king and the princes, and Sadoc the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the princes also of the priestly and Levitical families: one house, which was over the rest, of Eleazar: and another house, which had the rest under it, of Ithamar.


2 The sons of Caath were Amram, and Isaar, Hebron, and Oziel, four.


8 And for the altar of incense, he gave the purest gold: and to make the likeness of the chariot of the cherubims spreading their wings, and covering the ark of the covenant of the Lord.


And he did that which is good before the Lord all the days of Joiada the priest.


And let them keep the vessels of the tabernacle, serving in the ministry thereof.


2 Of which were numbered, people of the male sex from one month and upward, seven thousand five hundred.


They shall take also a cloth of violet wherewith they shall cover the candlestick with the lamps and tongs thereof and the snuffers and all the oil vessels, which are necessary for the dressing of the lamps :


And Chonenias, and Semeias and Nathanael, his brethren, and Hasabias, and Jehiel, and Jozabad princes of the Levites, gave to the rest of the Levites to celebrate the phase five thousand small cattle, and five hundred oxen.
