17 2 And David said to him: Give me this place of thy thrashingfloor, that I may build therein an altar to the Lord: but thou shalt take of me as much money as it is worth, that the plague may cease from the people.

It was planted in a good ground upon many waters, that it might bring forth branches, and bear fruit, that it might become a large vine.


Dearly beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits if they be of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

3 And if we did it with that mind, that we might lay upon it holocausts, and sacrifice, and victims of peace offerings, let him require and judge:


Remember that thou keep holy the sabbath day.


4 For I cannot return to my father without the boy, lest I be a witness of the calamity that will oppress my father.


And thou hast cast me forth into the deep in the heart of the sea, and a flood hath compassed me: all thy billows, and thy waves have passed over me.
