Luke 24:31 - An Understandable Version (2005 edition)

31 [Immediately] their eyes were opened [i.e., they were given insight] so they could recognize Him. And [just then] He disappeared from their view [Note: The Greek says, “became invisible,” suggesting that He vanished miraculously].

But they were [miraculously (?)] prevented from recognizing who He was.


So, they picked up stones to throw at Him, but Jesus hid Himself [or “was hidden,” suggesting a miraculous departure] and left the Temple [area].


But He [just] walked right through them [miraculously (?)] and went on His way.


When the people there recognized Jesus, they sent to all the surrounding regions and had all who were sick brought to Him.
