John 13:32 - An Understandable Version (2005 edition)

32 And if God is [so] glorified through Him [now], God will [also] glorify the Son in Himself very soon. [Note: Possibly this was a reference to Jesus returning to the Father’s presence].

And there will no longer be any curse [in the city], and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there. And God’s servants will serve Him,


Then the angel [See 21:9] showed me the river of the water of life. It was crystal-clear as it flowed out of the throne of God and the Lamb,


After saying these things, Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father, the time has come; honor your Son so that your Son may honor you.


Then Jesus said to [all of] them, “The time has come for the Son of man to be glorified [i.e., by His crucifixion, resurrection and ascension].


I am the Alpha and the Omega [See note at 1:8], the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”


The person who has victory [in the Christian life], I will grant him [the privilege of] sitting down with me on my throne, as I also had victory and sat down with my Father on His throne.


He has [now] gone to heaven, and is [seated] at the right side of God, where the angels and [other] authorities and powers have been subjected to Him.
