“We strictly commanded you not to teach in this name [i.e., the name of Jesus] and look [what you have done]; you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and you intend to hold us responsible for this man’s [i.e., Jesus'] death.”


“It is too bad for you teachers of the Law of Moses! For you took away the key of knowledge [i.e., preventing people from understanding God’s plan]. You did not enter [the kingdom of heaven. See Matt. 23:13] yourselves, and [you even] prevented those who [wanted] to enter [to get in].”


And those people [represented by the seed falling] along side of the road are those who have heard the word [of God], but the devil comes and takes away the word from their heart, so that they do not believe it and receive salvation.


And all the people answered, “Let his blood be on our hands, and on our children’s [as well].”


The king became furious and sent his army to destroy these murderers and burn their city.


He came to be a witness, so that he might testify concerning that Light, so that all people would believe [in Jesus] through him [i.e., through his testimony. See Acts 19:4].


Now go to the main crossroads of the highways and invite everyone you find there to the wedding reception.’
