And Hagar bare Abram a son: and Abram called his son's name, which Hagar bare, Ishmael.


But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.


For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.


Now Sarai Abram's wife bare him no children: and she had an handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar.


Jerusalem remembered In the days of her affliction and of her miseries All her pleasant things That she had in the days of old, When her people fell into the hand of the enemy, And none did help her: The adversaries saw her, And did mock at her sabbaths.


Even a child is known by his doings, Whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.


As with a sword in my bones, Mine enemies reproach me; While they say daily unto me, Where is thy God?


But I am a worm, and no man; A reproach of men, and despised of the people.


but they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy.


So the posts passed from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh, even unto Zebulun: but they laughed them to scorn, and mocked them.


and others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:


And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.


But now they that are younger than I have me in derision, Whose fathers I would have disdained to have set with the dogs of my flock.


And the child grew, and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the same day that Isaac was weaned.


Cast out the scorner, and contention shall go out; Yea, strife and reproach shall cease.
