No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.


And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.


who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.


Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.


And when Gideon perceived that he was an angel of the LORD, Gideon said, Alas, O Lord GOD! for because I have seen an angel of the LORD face to face.


And Manoah said unto his wife, We shall surely die, because we have seen God.


and ye said, Behold, the LORD our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.


and they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness.


But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, Until I make thine enemies thy footstool?


And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.


and I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.


Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.


Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel:
