35 A servant who deals wisely has the king’s favor, but his wrath falls on one who acts shamefully.

He who loves purity of heart, and whose speech is gracious, will have the king as his friend.

take away the wicked from the presence of the king, and his throne will be established in righteousness.


A wise king winnows the wicked and drives the wheel over them.


A king who sits on the throne of judgment winnows all evil with his eyes.


He who does violence to his father and chases away his mother is a son who brings shame and reproach.


A servant who deals wisely will rule over a son who acts shamefully and will share the inheritance as one of the brothers.


He who gathers in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps in harvest is a son who brings shame.


Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.
