And he strictly charged them that no one should know this, and told them to give her something to eat.


For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.


and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead,


and said, “Sir, we remember how that impostor said, while he was still alive, ‘After three days I will rise.’


From that time Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised.


He will not quarrel or cry aloud, nor will anyone hear his voice in the streets;


And Jesus said to him, “See that you say nothing to anyone, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a proof to them.”


And Jesus charged them to tell no one. But the more he charged them, the more zealously they proclaimed it.


And suddenly, looking around, they no longer saw anyone with them but Jesus only.


So they kept the matter to themselves, questioning what this rising from the dead might mean.


And when the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. And they kept silent and told no one in those days anything of what they had seen.
