Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.


Then he said to them, “My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch with me.”


Hear my prayer, O Lord; let my cry come to you!


What is my strength, that I should wait? And what is my end, that I should be patient?


Do not regard your servant as a worthless woman, for all along I have been speaking out of my great anxiety and vexation.”
