When you walk, your step will not be hampered, and if you run, you will not stumble.


You gave a wide place for my steps under me, and my feet did not slip.


For the wisdom of this world is folly with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their craftiness,”


The thing itself shall be carried to Assyria as tribute to the great king. Ephraim shall be put to shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his idol.


The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; he frustrates the plans of the peoples.


He also allured you out of distress into a broad place where there was no cramping, and what was set on your table was full of fatness.


In the fullness of his sufficiency he will be in distress; the hand of everyone in misery will come against him.


Your own mouth condemns you, and not I; your own lips testify against you.


And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, “The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel.” For the Lord had ordained to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, so that the Lord might bring harm upon Absalom.


And it was told David, “Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” And David said, “O Lord, please turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.”


And the mind of the king of Syria was greatly troubled because of this thing, and he called his servants and said to them, “Will you not show me who of us is for the king of Israel?”


The righteousness of the blameless keeps his way straight, but the wicked falls by his own wickedness.


An evil man is ensnared in his transgression, but a righteous man sings and rejoices.
