He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness.


“Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time?


“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,


In the morning sow your seed, and at evening withhold not your hand, for you do not know which will prosper, this or that, or whether both alike will be good.


The fallow ground of the poor would yield much food, but it is swept away through injustice.


Whoever works his land will have plenty of bread, but he who follows worthless pursuits lacks sense.


The people curse him who holds back grain, but a blessing is on the head of him who sells it.


It is well with the man who deals generously and lends; who conducts his affairs with justice.


Blessed is the one who considers the poor! In the day of trouble the Lord delivers him;


For the famine has been in the land these two years, and there are yet five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvest.


The seven lean and ugly cows that came up after them are seven years, and the seven empty ears blighted by the east wind are also seven years of famine.


Only the land of the priests he did not buy, for the priests had a fixed allowance from Pharaoh and lived on the allowance that Pharaoh gave them; therefore they did not sell their land.


And at the harvests you shall give a fifth to Pharaoh, and four fifths shall be your own, as seed for the field and as food for yourselves and your households, and as food for your little ones.”
