for he powerfully refuted the Jews in public, showing by the Scriptures that the Christ was Jesus.


But Saul increased all the more in strength, and confounded the Jews who lived in Damascus by proving that Jesus was the Christ.

But what God foretold by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ would suffer, he thus fulfilled.


and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead,

And while staying with them he ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, “you heard from me;


for as yet they did not understand the Scripture, that he must rise from the dead.


Then he said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”


When Silas and Timothy arrived from Macedonia, Paul was occupied with the word, testifying to the Jews that the Christ was Jesus.
