Therefore that place was called Beersheba, because there both of them swore an oath.


But all this has taken place that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples left him and fled.

The name of his firstborn son was Joel, and the name of his second, Abijah; they were judges in Beersheba.


If I say, “I will not mention him, or speak any more in his name,” there is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I am weary with holding it in, and I cannot.
